The Buckeye Ranch is one of Ohio’s leading providers of emotional, behavioral, mental health, and substance abuse services.  We work with children and families, many of whom have experienced abuse or neglect, who are facing significant challenges and often multiple stressors.

The Buckeye Ranch is currently seeking a full-time Engagement Specialist to ensure that we maintain a customer service focus for families, referral sources, and staff from inquiry, to entry, to discharge. 

Engagement Specialists must demonstrate the capacity to learn and consistently apply key customer service and Motivational Interviewing principles.  

Also, keep clients, families, and internal/external customers as a focus in day-to-day job duties, ensuring that all interactions and transactions are professional and embody the Core Values and Mission of The Buckeye Ranch. 

Primary duties include engaging with clients and families seeking mental health services through Same Day Access; initiating a client record and maintaining the electronic record database; gathering and maintaining financial information; scheduling appointments and centralized scheduling responsibilities; offering marketing support; and providing quality customer service interactions. 

A high degree of autonomy and dependability on the job is expected in this position as is the ability to consistently function as a positive and contributing team member. 

Required: 

High school diploma or equivalent

Two (2) or more years of related work experience with a customer service focus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency

Ability to remain flexible and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
